Birim Machining provides high-precision manufacturing solutions in the field of machining. By combining CNC technology, an extensive machine park, and engineering expertise, we deliver solutions tailored to the needs of industrial projects of any scale.

What is Machining?

Machining is the process of shaping a solid material (metal, casting, plastic, etc.) into a desired form using cutting tools. Dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and durability are achieved by removing “chips” from the workpiece.

Advantages:

  • Micron-level dimensional accuracy
  • Suitability for single-part or serial production
  • Ability to work with various material types
  • Excellent surface quality

The Machining Process at Birim Machining

Every project begins with an engineering assessment. CAD/CAM-supported production planning, measuring instruments (CMM, profilometer), and continuous quality control steps ensure that every part is produced with the same precision.

“Manufacturing powered by precision.”

Our Machining Capabilities

  1. Floor Type Boring Mill A powerful horizontal machining system designed for the high-precision processing of large, heavy, and long parts.Capacity: 24 m length × 4.5 m height Advantages:
    • Ability to process very large parts in a single setup
    • High rigidity and vibration resistance
    • Maintained dimensional accuracy on long parts
    • Ideal solution for heavy industry and machine frames
  2. Horizontal CNC Machining Versatile machining capability for long and heavy parts. Capacity: Between 2 m – 10 m Advantages:
    • Multi-face machining in a single setup
    • Time and cost savings
  3. Vertical Machining and Double Column CNC High-rigidity system for parts with complex geometries. Capacity: 1600 mm × 8 m Applications:
    • Mold and pattern production
    • Heavy industry parts
    • Large-surface components
  4. Surface Grinding The final finishing stage. Improves the surface of the part and achieves tighter tolerances. Capacity: 600 mm width × 3 m length × 600 mm height Result: Excellent surface quality and high accuracy.
  5. Conventional Turning Classic system used for machining cylindrical parts. Capacity:
    • 1000 mm dia × 8 m length
    • 1250 mm dia × 5 m length
Suitable for: Shafts, axles, connection elements, and heavy industry components.
  6. CNC Turning Computer-controlled precision manufacturing. Capacity: 800 mm dia × 4 m length Advantages:
    • Repeatable quality
    • High speed for serial production
    • Significant reduction in error rates
